Pinkalicious Day

Today was our Pinkalicious Day. I have had this on my calendar for a few weeks and have been so excited about it. We ate pink, played pink, and just had a pinkeriffic time! (and yes, I took a million photos)

After breakfast, the girls did some pinkeriffic arts and crafts. First they made Pinkalicious crowns and wands. Then daddy (being as wonderful as he is) cut them out and made them usable.

We did a color mixing activity. Each girl got an activity page with the "assignment" on it, a glass of water, and a spoon. Then Melanie would tell me what two colors we have to mix. I would give them the first color, and before we put the second color in the glass, we'd all make guesses as to what color would be created by mixing the two. It was fun (and some of the guesses were funny).

I had them fill out their work sheets (of course, I helped Noelle a bit). This one is Melanie's

Another craft we did was super pinkalicious. We made marble paintings with shaving cream and liquid water colors. Melanie thought that shaving cream felt "as soft as a pillow". It was cute.

We only used pink and purple, to honor the day.

Noelle was NOT happy when I told her it was time to wash up. She really really LIKES to do any art project.

Here is one of the paintings wet.

And after they have dried, they look like this:

Cool, right?
Of course, we didn't forget about the crowns and wands...

Which lead to playing dress up.

In case you are wondering, she is wearing 2 layers. She said she wanted to have a "Cinderella Choker" so she is wearing a black dress under her princess dress. This comment completely caught Brandon by surprise.
Goofy Girl!

After lunch and naps, Melanie and Noelle (and Daddy) made STRAWBERRY ICE CREAM! Yum!

Yeah... Noelle... it WAS that Good!

Then we the girls had a pinkalicious bubble bath... And how, do you ask, was it pinkalicious? Because it was a strawberry bubble bath. yum!

We finished the day with a very fun princess graphing game. The girls roll the princess dice and then put a sticking next to the picture they rolled. It was a fun one. (I would post the link, but I'm having a hard time with copy paste, so if you are interested in the link for this fun game, please let me know. The lady has a whole slue of themes, not just princesses).

Way to go girlies.

Noelle's graph!

And Melanies!

All in all, I think the whole family had a pinkalicious time. I know I did. I don't really think I had a favorite part, because it was all fun. We spoiled the girls today, but they deserved a little bit of spoiling. It was nice to have daddy home to play pink with us.

This is such a fun idea! Clara keeps telling me she wants to be Pinakalicious for Halloween, so she would love if I did something like this.

I really need to do some of your experiments with Clara. I guess I shouldn't be too lazy to copy someone else's glorious plans. :)

Are you making ice cream in your Bosch??
