It's that time again... for me to record some of the crazy and fun things that my girls have been saying or doing.

Melanie!

After trying her shoe on my foot the other day, Melanie says to me "You must be the ugly step sister!"

One morning, at breakfast, Melanie says to me: "MOM! My room is a disaster!" (This was news to me because we had spent quite a bit of time cleaning it up the night before) and then she follows it by saying "I disastered it this morning"

This is a conversation I had with Melanie while she was suppose to be sleeping, in her room, and I was in the living room on the couch. Melanie: "Mom, can I sleep with some socks on?" Me: "Sure!" Melanie: "Good, because my feet hurt. That helps my body, even if I don't have a baby in my tummy." Pause "Mom, you have a baby in your tummy, so your feet always hurt... you should put some socks on."

This is a conversation I had with Melanie while she was eating breakfast and I was cleaning up the dishes one morning. Melanie: "Mom! Clean the Floors!" Me: "excuse me?" Melanie (in a much sweeter voice): "Can you clean the floors please?" Pause... Me: "Why don't you ask your father?" Melanie (no hesitation): "Because he isn't Cinderella" (Note, Brandon was home and laughing pretty hard in the other room)

"Mom, Can we do an art project that is *NOT* messy today?"

"My sister is getting so big, what happened???" Pause "Don't worry mommy, I'll get little after I grow slowly. I promise".

Lunch a few days ago was extremely chaotic. Melanie was doing something that was making Noelle scream "No"... and then they would both giggle. I tell them "wow, you are the loudest kids on the planet". To which Melanie responds (without hesitation) "Well mom, you *did* get us from the crazy fish store".

While I was tucking Melanie into bed for a nap yesterday, she says "Mom, I'm not a toy, but you can play with me!" I informed her that I would! Definitely! After her nap!

Melanie is obsessed with getting married and sealed in the temple. She has informed me that she is going to marry me, so we can be sealed together. I told her we are already sealed, but she still insists.

Noelle!

I took her over to a friends house recently, and while playing, Noelle found a toy frying pan, and proceeded to beat me over the head with it. This is when I decided my kids have clearly watched Tangled TOO many time!

We had my nephew, CJ, over for a few days. CJ is 15 months old, and very noisy. At dinner on one of the nights he was over, we were feeding them missionaries. CJ was screaming, when Noelle looks over at them, and with a finger to him mouth, says "SHHHH!!!!" Then giggled.

This is a conversation I overheard between Melanie and Noelle: Melanie (showing Noelle a picture): "This is the Temple!" Noelle: "Yeah!" Melanie: "Will you get married there?" Noelle: "YEAH!"

On Melanie's first day of school, Poor Noelle cried "Melanie" the whole way home. It broke my heart, but is evident she truly loves her sister!

I gave the girls peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and cantaloupe for lunch the other day. After Noelle had eaten half her sandwich and 4 slices of cantaloupe, she says "cantaloupe please". I tell her she has to eat more of her sandwich first. She picks up her sandwich, licks it, puts it down, and says "More cantaloupe please!"

Noelle is picky about her clothing... down to her DIAPER. She insists, she has to have a puppy on her diaper, and when I run out of those, it's not good!
