Movie Star

While I was putting Melanie down for a nap today, she informed me that she wanted to go to the library and check out a Fancy Nancy and Pinkalicious movie. We have read most, if not all, the books in the series, but she wanted more. I had to tell her that they didn't have any, but then got the idea that maybe WE could make a movie.

So, later in the day, we did just that. Melanie went into her room and picked out her outfit. She came back and informed me that she was pinkalicious and that she needed her hair up in pig tails. I obliged. She then told me she was ready to make a movie. I had her get out a Pinkalicious book so we could decide how to make the movie. She choose "Pinkalicious, Tickled Pink". We read it together and she picked out her favorite part.

If you can't understand, she is saying "What is funnier that being tickled..... being tickled PINK!"

Then Melanie decided it was time to make a Fancy Nancy movie. I told her to pick out her favorite Fancy Nancy book, and she choose "Fancy Nancy, Pajama Day". We read the whole thing. It was a little harder for me to think of a way to make a short movie, so I just decided to go with a little vocab. I told her she needed an elegant night gown. She came back in a cute shirt, and a tutu! Works for me. She took her pig tails out and we got a big flower for her hair. She was definitely FaNcY.
