'Twas the night before Christmas Eve... and the Smithson family was having fun! It started with some pizza...
And then some giggling and goofing off while we cleaned the tables and got ourselves organized...
Finally, some service. The Smithson Family adopted 3 families for Christmas. I have adopted a child before (several times) but have never been involved in helping an entire family (let alone 3) for Christmas. It was truly a neat experience. Everyone was involved in some aspect. (Melanie and Noelle helped stuff stockings, Brandon helped supervise, and I helped organize the gifts into family piles (after I assisted my girls in the stuffing of stockings... and kept them for stealing all the candy canes)
A side note. While at Grandma's house, I learned that Noelle really likes sticky notes... Really really really likes sticky notes. See what I mean:
We had a great time at the Smithson Family Christmas Party. As a family, we have decided to make this a tradition, which I'm really excited about. It was fun, and truly brought the spirit of service. (And it got us our 6th Badge of Fun for our Family Fun Badges of Fun). Merry Christmas!
