Happy Birthday to Melanie! She is 4! I can't believe my little girls is already 4 years old. That is just crazy! For fun, Brandon and I surprised her with some birthday balloons (which are still up and are a huge hit with all three of our children.)
Melanie got to pick her favorite meal for dinner. She picked Breakfast! We made scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast. Melanie was in 7th heaven.

Then we had chocolate cream pie for dessert (mom didn't have the time or energy to make a cake. Plus, she rather play with the girls then spend all the limited free time in the kitchen).

Noelle was slightly jealous it wasn't her birthday. Don't worry Noelle, your day is coming. Funny Melanie quotes from her birthday day:

First thing in the morning: "Mom, am I 4 yet?"

To mom: "I'm 4 now... I'm almost old!"

To Noelle: "No, Noelle, it's my birthday. You are still 1. I am 4, but you are not 2 yet" (poor Noelle).

To da, via telephone: "Dad, aren't you going to sing me happy birthday? It is MY birthday, you know!"

To mom (about 5 minutes later): "I am the birthday girl, you need to sing me happy birthday"

To mom (about 5 minutes after that): "Mom, you still haven't sang me happy birthday" (FYI, I *had* in fact sang her happy birthday... several times... silly girl).

Happy Birthday My little Melanie. Mom and Dad love you so much. We are so proud of all the wonderful things you have accomplished this year. You make us smile and laugh, and you are such an important part of our family. Thank you for being wonderful.
