Favorite Things

I was outside with my girls the other day, thinking of how lucky I am. So, I thought I'd share. First of all, I have some favorite things.

1. My family. Golly, I have the most wonderful husband ever. And my girls are just too much fun. I wouldn't trade them in for anything... They are crack ups!

2. My tree. I love this tree. This is my favorite time of year in my back yard because it's just beautiful. It actually looks like it is raining yellow flowers.

3. My garden.

4. Cooking. (Though right now, with this pregnancy, cooking isn't always as much fun as it typically is) I LOVE to cook. I especially love to try out new things and cross my fingers and hope that they girls will try/like it.

5. Music. I just love music. I love playing the piano. I love singing. And I especially love hearing Melanie sing and teaching her new songs. In primary this month, we are learning "Praise to the Man". I have enjoyed teaching her this song at home and explaining the meaning to her. She is very inquisitive. The following video is of her singing the first verse.

Some of my favorite conversations lately:

Melanie: "I'll live under the ocean when I'm a Mermaid. Mommy, you can turn into a mermaid too and live under the ocean. and the baby in your tummy, that's Flounder. He'll be a boy and be in the ocean too."

Me: "Melanie, don't jump on that bed, or there will be no cookies today" Melanie (still jumping away): "It's okay, I'll have cookies tomorrow".

Daddy: "Melanie, should be find out if the baby is a boy or a girl now, or should we wait until it is born" Melanie: "find out now". Mommy: "Should we find out now, or would it be more fun to wait and find out like a Christmas present". Melanie: "Wait and find out like a Christmas present" (It's all in how you word it!)

Melanie: "Mommy, there's a baby in my tummy too. And a really little one in Noelle's tummy".

Melanie: "Shh, mom, you'll wake the baby in your tummy, and then he will cry and cry in your tummy. You need to be quiet".

Favorite things that Noelle says: Butterfly, Thank you, Melanie, Mommy, Daddy, Pleeeeease, Cheeeeese, And when she sings the song Ariel sings when Ursula steals her voice. Way cute!
