The Plane! The Plane!

Yesterday was just a "plane" ole fun day. (okay, that was my sorry attempt at using the work "plane" as a pun... just smile). We first went to the Arizona Wings of CAF Museum next to the Falcon Field Airport. At the museum, we got to check out a variety of fun airplanes, tour a bomber, and see some airplane mechanics at work. It was a lot of fun!

We met up with friends Jennifer, Aidan, Trae, and Chloe for the aeronautical excitement.
Here is a picture of Noelle and Melanie right below the cockpit of the bomber. I didn't realize that the pilot sits up above and the nose of the plane is actually where gun men sit. That hand you see above Melanie's head belongs to one of the owners of the plane. He was working on something.

In the next picture, we are in the tail in of the plane. I've seen this type of things in movies... it was crazy to actually see it in "real life".

Beware! It's a Smithson with a weapon... and they seem to know how to use it!

Seriously! It was really neat!

This is a picture of the plane we were touring from the outside.
After we explored the entire museum, Jennifer took Melanie and Aidan back up into the bomber. The next two pictures are ones she took.

After the tour of the museum, we head over to what we affectionately refer to as the "airplane park". We had a picnic and then played until it was nap time. One of the airplanes we witnessed get ready to take off while we were at the museum flew over head while we were at the park. It was loud and fun! We had a lot of fun! Thank you Jennifer, Aidan, Trae and Chloe for joining us on this adventure!
