2 Months Old!

Oliver has been part of our family for a full 2 months now! It's crazy how fast time just flies by! And it is also funny to think that 2 months ago he wasn't here, but now I can't imagine life without him in it. He is just such a wonderful little man.
Oliver is a generious smile giver. He prefers to be held, but can also "chill out" on the floor or in his bouncy seat. He is a cuddler. And sometimes he is even a giggler. He sleeps really good at night, only waking once to eat, and then goes right back to sleep. Overall, he is one really really good baby. I can't seem to get him to take a bottle yet, and he seems hungry every 2 hours (which is much more often than my girls) so I can't get away from him for long periods of time without him protesting... but with his smile, who'd want to?
I took him to the doctor on his 2 month birthday. He weight 12 pounds, 1 ounce (this is 50%), he was 24 inches tall (this is 90%) and his hat size was 15-1/2 inches (this is slightly less than 50%).
The following day he had several bloody diapers, so he went back to the doctor. The doctor on call tested the stool to ensure that the red was blood and not something else. Sure enough, it was. So... I am now diary free and soy free until I stop nursing or am told otherwise from the doctor. So... for about 10 months. If anyone has any good breakfast and lunch ideas for this diet, I'd love to hear them. This is really hard for me, because I'm not really a dieter. I'm a runner... and then I just eat whatever I want (within reason). And speaking of running, all my favorite high carb meals for my long runs have cheese... so I may need help there too. I have a marathon I'm training for and I'm currently out of ideas for the pre-race and post-race meals. Anyhow, let me hear them, I'd appreciate it! :)

Green smoothies! :) Are you the one that said you've never been into them? You can make them with rice milk. Yummy and healthy. Costco has organic rice milk that we buy and you can substitute it for cow's milk easily. That's what we do a lot and we don't notice a difference in oatmeal, cereal, muffins, pancakes and waffles, etc.

Good luck!

Soy is in everything!! My son had the same thing, but there wasn't anything I could find (or maybe I wasn't dedicated enough!) that would keep my milk supply up, so he went to a special formula. My little boy was an eater too, he never went more than 3 hours :)
