Boy is it HOT outside! I think mother nature forgot to turn off the heater this year, because it's just miserable outside. So... the girls and I decided to make a bunch of rainbows, with the desire to influence the weather a bit. It didn't work, but we still had fun. Here are the rainbows we made.

I thought this one was super cute and a fun idea... until I went to check on Melanie during a nap and found her with one of the ribbons tied around her neck. She was fine, but that's not that point. She apparently wanted a choker like Princess Cinderella. (Thank you yet again Disney!) To say it freaked me out would be an understatement. Needless to say, I will not be hanging anymore long ribbons in Melanie's room.

I love this rainbow collage. Both girls got to make one. This one just so happens to be Noelle's. I had Noelle help me rip all the paper and sort all the "stuff" while Melanie was at school. This was a ton of fun to make, and definitely lightens up their rooms.

Here is a closer view. Isn't that fun?

Since making rainbows didn't seem to work for us, we decided to EAT rainbows.

(Yes, those are blue fruit loops, but blueberries are just NOT in season).

Then we put the two together. We could color with rainbow colors on to a rainbow cake... surely this would inspire rain... right?

Those rainbow collages are awesome! We're getting a nice storm now, so apparently your trick worked, eventually. :)
