Dinosaur Petting Zoo

During this past week, there was a festival in down to Mesa (at the Mesa Arts Center) called Spark!  We were going to go on Thursday, but the stars didn't align.  They did, however, align on Friday, and we were able to go just long enough to see a show.  The show was entitled "Dinosaur Petting Zoo" and featured several very realistic dinosaur puppets.  The show was put on by an international traveling group, Erth, from Australia. They did an amazing job.
The started the show with their smallest, cutest dinosaurs... the babies.  Melanie got to pet one.  It was really cool!

Then, this prehistoric bug flew around, making himself acquainted with the audience.  It landed on Melanie's hand AND on her head.  I wasn't fast enough with the camera.
The next dinosaur was this very cute, very smart feller.  See how realistic these dinosaurs are.
I took this picture of Noelle, Oliver, and I before the last dinosaur took the stage.  I had a feeling I should get a before and after.
I mean, it's not every day you see a T-Rex!
Oliver looks little nervous.  I reminded the girls a few times before he came on stage that it was just a big puppet.  I think this was a good tactic, because my kids laughed instead of cried when it charged the audience.
This poor girl was almost supper!
Melanie was close to being lunch too (I wasn't fast enough with the camera on this one either.  He came pretty close).  Of course, she thought it was funny (and had to look to me to ensure she was still safe).
We had such a great time at the Dinosaur Petting Zoo!  Well Done Mesa Arts Center! (And Erth!)

That looks awesome! I'm always amazed at what people can do with inanimate objects. Fun!
