Labor Day, 2012

Labor day is one of my favorite holidays. We always get to celebrate Brandon's birthday over Labor Day... and it's a 3 day weekend in which we get to spend the whole time with him. It really is special.
This first picture was taken by Noelle all by her self out the front window. I didn't even know she had the camera until she gave it back to me. She is pretty talented for a 2 year old.
For our family day, we headed to the Goldfield Mine and Ghost Town. We started out by just walking around and checking everything out. The Ghost Town was like a true ghost town... apparently no one shows up until around 10.
This sign is no lie... that mine tour horn is LOUD. And even warned and ears covered, my kids all cried after it went off.
Clearly it hadn't gone off yet when this picture was taken.
We actually did the tour this time. It was fun. I was really nervous about the idea of going under ground... lets face it, I'm claustrophobic, and being UNDER GROUND just doesn't appeal to me. But I really did enjoy myself.
Some more walking around.
I love this picture of Noelle. I told her to stand still so I could get her picture, and she came running to me.
Look who is awake and enjoying himself!

It was a great day at the mine and ghost town! Happy Labor Day!

that's a fun time to have a birthday. my birthday is the day after veteran's day so growing up, i'd always have a day off school around my birthday.

I'm going to have to put that on our list of places to go see. It looks like it was a lot of fun.
