We wrapped Labor Day off with the first ever Smithson Family Cook off. The girls drew names for their partners and it was determined that Noelle and I were a team, and Brandon and Melanie were a team (Oliver was a floater and actually napped through most of the competition). For this cook off, we were to make desserts.
Noelle and I made Oreo chocolate chip peanut butter cookie bars (her pick).
Brandon and Melanie made strawberry shortcake.
After we finished making our desserts, it was time for the official judging. Our friend Rebekah and her family of judges did the job nicely. They voted and after careful deliberation determined the strawberry shortcake the winner. Good Job Brandon and Melanie! As the winners, they got to pick the movie at the next family movie party. They picked Shark Tale.

So that's why their was angel food cake on your counter. The Oreo cookie bars sound so yummy!! I may need to get that recipe from you.
