Mommy's vs. Melanie's

Ever since I have been home from the hospital, I have been fielding a TON of questions from my curious little red head. She mostly asks the same questions over and over... some about his belly button, some about the medicine I have to put on him when changing his diaper... but MOST are about mommy feeding the baby. I have been nursing Oliver, and thank goodness for the shield I have, I haven't had to explain certain things... but that doesn't keep her from being curious. She has asked where the bottle is... and what I feed him... and I have told her this:

Mommy feeds the baby with special mommy milk that she makes inside her body. She uses special mommy parts, but we don't show those parts off while we are feeding the baby.

So... this is the conversation we had last night:

Melanie: "I am going to feed Oliver ice cream, because I saw that he doesn't have teeth. You don't need teeth for ice cream"

Mommy: "Oliver's little tummy can only handle special milk".

Melanie: "It's okay mommy, I make the ice cream inside my body. It comes from my special Melanie parts."
Sorry Oliver... it sounds like you are missing a good deal. Mommy only makes milk... not ice cream.

Some of my favorite things Clara has said go back to when I was first nursing Hazel. Ha ha, so awesome.

PS Does Oliver look like Noelle in that picture or am I imagining it?
