"The Bad Decision Monster"

This afternoon has been a cold wet one.  It was raining when I picked Melanie up from school.  I was wet, cold, and wet when I finally got her home from school.  Melanie did her homework and then it was time to play.  Typically they go out back, but it was wet and cold.  So, I decided to let them watch a movie instead.  I gave them each a laundry basket and told them to make it comfy while I put on the movie.  

They loved the idea.

I put on Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer.  Then I grabbed a laundry basket of my own and started folding the last of the laundry.  What I forgot about the movie is there is a monster.  The Abominable Snowman makes quite an appearance in the movie.  I was reminded this by my little man.  I was putting the dish towels away, when Oliver runs over to me, hugs my leg, and (shaking) says "The Bad Decision Monster scared me!"  Oliver and I spent the rest of the movie sitting on the couch, snuggling.  Anytime the "Bad Decision Monster" came on the screen, he climbed up me a little further until he knew he was safe.  

I love Oliver!  What a funny little man.
