Melanie turned 6 on Sunday!!! I can't believe that it's already been 6 years, but at the same time, I can't remember a time without her. Melanie is spunky and fun, compassionate and kind, smart and clever, and just overall amazing. Sometimes she is a little fiery as well.
Sunday morning, we let Melanie open the card she received in the mail from her Great Grandparents (Hopkins), her card from us, and the gift her siblings picked out for her. She had to wait until after breakfast to do this... and I'm pretty sure she thought that was torture.
After church, it was dinner time... and she got to pick out what we had. For her birthday, we had Mexican food. She picked wisely.
As you can tell, it was greatly enjoyed.
Then we put on the party hats (made by Melanie!) and had dessert. Melanie picked mint chocolate chip ice cream.
Party hats are a big to-do at our house. Definitely!
And so is Ice Cream!
