Sunny San Diego

On October 6th and 7th, we attended a Smithson Family Reunion in San Diego.  As part of the reunion, we spent a lot of time on the beach.  We played and visited, and the had dinner and a family camp fire (the majority of the family camped by the beach, so a camp fire and some roasting marshmallows was a must do)  I took several pictures from our reunion.  Most of them were of my family only, because, though it was a Smithson Reunion, the majority of the time that I saw the rest of the family, it was dark and the pictures didn't turn out.

I love that Noelle's cute little girl handwriting shows up even when she write in sand.  So fun!
On the 7th, we started our day checking out the Mormon Battalion Museum.  If you haven't been there, and are planning a trip to the San Diego area, I highly recommend it.  The tour was interactive and so much fun, and the information I learned was just amazing.  The kids thought it was awesome!

After the tour, you can do some panning for gold and some other exploring.  The kids really enjoyed this.  The fools gold pieces were huge.  It was fun.

After our Mormon Battalion adventures, we had lunch and then headed back to the beach for the remainder of the day.  It was a lot of fun.  We got sandy.  We got wet.  We got salty.  And we robbed the beach of every sea shell we could find.

We had such a fun time in San Diego.  I'm so happy we went.  The only person that was missing from the family reunion was Adle.  She was missed.  Good times!
