Badge of Fun, Badge7: End of Winter Party

Family Fun sometimes makes me laugh. They had this several page feature of Phoenix Arizona... and then, in that same magazine, had the Badge of Fun be a "Winter Fun" badge, with ideas of how to enjoy the winter. The irony: All the ideas involved playing in freezing temperatures or staying inside to get away from the cold. But in Arizona (at least in the valley of the sun) it is neither freezing or the time of the year to stay inside. So, to earn our badge, we went outside! In fact, we decided to involve others and make it a party.
An "End of Winter" Party, at a park, with most of the party-goers in short sleeves and some even in shorts. Yep... Arizona Winters are "brutal", aren't they. We played, lunched, and then made some snowmen.
These are some of the cute snowmen (there were more but since those families don't have blogs, I don't know if their parents would be okay with me posting pictures of their kids on mine).
Those were some good looking snowmen if you ask me. I also had a craft to do, but the wind was too strong and I decided against it. So, the kids played some more, enjoyed a snowman cookie (which my wonderful husband decorated for us), and then went home. It was fun!
Thank you to everyone that was able to join us.
