Captions

I know captions don't tell the whole story, but I find that I have recently gotten behind on my story telling, and at least captions will keep me somewhat up to date.  So, here we go:
Two Weddings, One Weekend (I decorated two wedding cakes, the first wedding on a Friday, then the second was that following Saturday).  It was fun.  (I'm waiting for the professional pictures of both cakes because I bite at taking pictures.)

Self Incriminating Evidence (This is a picture Melanie took while without me knowing.  I'm guessing she was jumping on her bed, and taking a picture of Noelle jumping on Noelle's bed... any other suggestions?)
Sibling Love (Got to love the smile Oliver is giving Noelle, who took this picture)
Happy Boy, Brave Mom (Finger Painting while the girls water color!)
A New Spot (Oliver graduated from the high chair and is now sitting at the table!)
 Sidewalk Chalk Paint (Too cool!)

A Bit of Love (For the one we miss most)

Cat in the Hat goes to a baby shower

The Cat in the Hat went to a baby shower...  and I was asked to make the cake.  Here is is:

I'm not the best at taking photos of my work, so note that it looked better in person than on film.  The cake it self was really fun too.  The top tier had stripes of red and white cake with butter cream frosting.  The bottom tier was a white cake with red and blue confetti.  (Also cut into 3 pieces with butter cream frosting in between).  Anyhow, there you go.

Wedding Cake

My pictures didn't do the cake justice... but this one (taken by Elizabeth at http://www.emhlawlorphotography.blogspot.com/) truly shows how perfect this cake turned out. My Sister-in-law Amilee did an AMAZING job decorating for this wedding. I'm so impressed. Hopefully Elizabeth will provide a preview on her blog and you can see it. I'm truly at awe at the talent Amilee possess. (Amilee is also the Sister-in-law that threw my baby shower).

St. Patrick's Day

The St. Patrick's Day fun started Friday night, when we set a trap to catch a leprechaun. Leprechauns are sneaky little guys, and not very easy to catch, but we decided to try anyhow. They love green, so we baited the trap with green veggies on a green plate.
He must have liked the veggies, because he ate them all gone. Unfortunately, the trap did not work. He was too sneaky for that. Melanie woke up early and ran into my room to tell me that he left green foot prints. She was right, he sure did.Right around that trap, and then to a little gold and a box of lucky charms. How nice of him to repay us for all those veggies he took!
The girls weren't too sure of the cereal... and in the end, they decided to eat their typical breakfast (they never stop amazing me)
Conversation with Melanie on the way to pick up our bountiful basket:
Melanie: "I think leprechauns are sneaky little guys. They have green feet prints because green is their favorite color. Everyone know leprechauns really like green."
Me: "Green is my favorite color. Maybe I'm a leprechaun."
Melanie: (hysterical laughing) "no mother. you are so silly".
Hope everyone had a happy St. Patrick's Day.
On another note. Friday night I made this wedding cake for my sister in law's, sister in law's wedding (did you follow that?) I think it turned out nice. I'm hoping the bride thinks so too!
